Random pictures and stories in no particular order!

1. This weekend we have been house/dog sitting for the Speight family. Its been great! Free food, laundry, a HUGE TV, and hot tub for a whole weekend! Count us in!
2. I had the best Valentines day ever! Cory surprised me with flowers, breakfast, and a beautiful heart necklace, and that was just the beginning. After work and school we went out to dinner at Cafe Sabor, and then to the movie "The Vow!" I have never been so spoiled in my life. I sure got lucky snatching that boy up!
3. A beautiful little Laramie girl paid us a visit! The Despain Family came up for Mina Alyson's blessing! We had a really fun time bowling, and going out to eat ice cream. Josie and Cory got along really well. It was super cute. :) He is going to make an amazing father... in 10 years... at least.

4. I have been a baking fool lately. Tamales, pizza, bread, rolls, cookies, mashed potatoes, pot roast, and lots of other things! And you know what... I'm loving it.

5. I am so thankful for all the great people I know! I have been truly blessed. LIFE IS GREAT!

Spring Semester

If we survive this semester I think it will be a miracle. Between school, work, and trying to plan a June wedding, life is going to be pure chaos.

Today was the first day of classes for the Spring Semester. I woke up early and was attempting to make it to Richmond for work on time. Last night it was really cold so I knew that my windows would be frosted. When I walked out of my room, to my surprise, Cory was there to greet me with a big hug and kiss. He knows that I am not the biggest fan of my new job yet, so he wanted to boost me up for the long day I had ahead of me. When we walked out to my car he had also scraped all my windows and started up my car so that it was all warm when I got in. Wow I sure got lucky finding him. I made it to work with time to spare.

While I was at work Cory was at class. He has a crazy schedule this semester:
Family Finance
Biology (with me)
Math 1050
Math 1060
Work and Marriage
and of course Racquetball

Then he works after classes at night.

My schedule on the other hand is just about the opposite. I work all morning and then attend afternoon classes which include:

Spanish
Biology
Exploring Lifespan Development
and another Social Work class

Well that is all the time I have wasting on blogging today. Back to being productive.

Christmas and New Years

Christmas break was definitely a difficult one for us this year... okay maybe just me. While Cory was basking in the Hawaiian sun, kayaking in the ocean, and zip lining over old military camps, I was stuck in good old Cowley Wyoming. This was our first Christmas together, and we had to spend it apart. While it probably taught us both some patience, I hope to never be away from Cory for another Christmas.
Cory and I weren't supposed to see each other for 3 weeks during the break, since he wouldn't be back from Hawaii by the time that I had to come back to Logan for a wedding and work, but things miraculously worked out, and the most we went without seeing the other was only 9 days. We both went up to Cowley and Powell on Friday the 16th, right after my last final, and then Cory and his family flew to Hawaii on the 21st. My roommate from freshman year got married on the 28th, so I had to drive down to Salt Lake to be a bridesmaid for her wedding, and then as a surprise, I drove all the way back to Powell the next day to surprise Cory. I was waiting in his basement and attacked him as he was running into the bathroom. He didn't think that he was going to see me for almost a week after that. It was great to reunite with my best friend. I had no idea that it would be so hard not seeing him for that long. I guess I really do love that boy! I then turned around 2 days later and drove back to Logan one last time to start work, Cory followed a few days later, and finally we are both together in Logan just in time for classes to start up tomorrow. BOO!

Its a new year, and  Cory and I can not wait to live it up! We were both very blessed in 2011! Not only did we find each other and get engaged, but we both have jobs and are raking in the cash... okay well maybe not raking it in, but we are getting by. Cory said one of his biggest highlights in 2011 was returning home from serving an LDS mission in Phoenix Arizona. He met some amazing people, who he still talks to now (thanks to Facebook!), and he said that he learned so much, and was so grateful for the opportunity that he had to serve those wonderful people. My biggest highlight was surviving working three months at a dirt plant in Lovell Wyoming. Working 13 hours a day starting at 4:30am and finishing at 5:30pm is not what I like to call "fun." On the bright side I did make some good money, but boy am I thankful to be done!

We are excited to see what 2012 has in store for us.

We Survived!

Finals are over! Cory and I came out of finals week with... decent grades...! Friday morning my apartment had an early Christmas to celebrate the end of Fall Semester! Cory, and some of our other friends, came over at 7 in the morning and the festivities began. Over the passed few days we had filled each others stockings with little Dollar Store gifts, so we opened those and then ate a wonderful breakfast that Aly made us. Cory came in a little late (due to the fact that he was pulled over on the way to my apartment), and the first thing that he did when he walked into the apartment was stand right in front of me, with a stack of papers, the first with a big I on it, and then started throwing the papers on the ground, one after another. I-L-O-V-E-Y-O-U-S-O-M-U-C-H was written on the papers! It was such a simple, yet thoughtful little gesture. It definitely made my morning. I took my last final right after this, and then we headed back to Wyoming for the break. The picture above is of Cory sporting the pink and orange fuzzy socks that I got in my stocking. He is one a-DORK-able guy. I sure love him!

Finals Are Here

And the studying begins! Finals for Utah State start next week, so Cory and I have been living in the library. Between finals, work, and getting ready for Christmas, there isn't a whole lot of time for anything else. (well except for blogging of course) We did most of our Christmas shopping last week because we knew that  we were going to be in crunch mode, and wouldn't have much time to get any shopping done! All the presents for the Harker family have been purchased, and most of the presents for my family too. Now all I need is a few friends gifts and we will be golden. I have been really stressed about money lately with tuition due and Christmas coming up, so I was going to stay in Logan an extra week and make some more money instead of heading home for Christmas right after finals. My parents didn't like this idea, so my dad called me up and told me that he would pay me 50 bucks for every day that I will be missing work, if I go up to Cowley early! Well that was some pretty good incentive, so it looks like I will be in Wyoming on the 16th of December instead of the 22nd! That means I will get to see the Harkers before they head off to Hawaii for the break. Yup that's right. Cory will be laying on the beach basking in the sun in Hawaii while I am in cold Wyoming freezing my butt off! Its a good thing I love that boy our I would probably really hate him! Ha. Well Merry Christmas to all of you reading this.

Memories all Alone in the Moonlight

I was looking through some picture of Cory and I, and I stumbled across the first picture we took together!
Haha he was making a funny face because he had a fat lip from Racquet Ball. Its funny to think how far we have come since this picture was taken! This was our second date together! We went to a USU football game, and to tell you the truth... I don't really remember a whole lot of the game. That boy I sat next to just happened to become my best friend! I love you Cory! I can not wait to marry you!

Double Date with Tim and Aly

My sister Aly and I decided that we needed to have a date night with the significant others in our lives. We thought about dinner and a movie, but that is such a common and boring activity. So we put our heads together and came up with the idea of making nativity scenes from clay. We turned it into a competition, couple against couple! There was no way Tim and Aly were going to beat us! We (okay Aly) purchased the clay and the competition was on.
Cory has always been a huge Star Wars fan, so I thought it would be different and creative to incorporate it into our nativity! Mary and Joseph were Padme and Anakin, baby Jesus was Luke, the wise man was Yoda, the Shepard was C3PO and the sheep was R2-D2.

Aly and Tim decided to take the more traditional approach! Their nativity turned out cool... but no where near as cool as our!

All in all we had a really fun night! It was good to have some sisterly and significant other bonding!
